wazzup friendsters! havent updated since italy won the world cup. hehehe. too lazy
one week. hmmm what happened. okay here it goes…
July 4-5, tues-wed. US Independence Day and Phil-Am Friendship Day. but for us, it was the Skycom Independence Day and Phil-India Friendship Day. filipinos and indians unite, first time in skycom history. wanna know why? there were a lot of issues in our office for the past few months. everyone was silent. no one complained about anything. but last week, the mgt made a wrong move. it triggered everybody to voice out their concerns, issues, problems, etc, and demanded the mgt to do something about it. when they refused to talk to us, we did what was best for all of us. wont elaborate any further, sorry guys. hehehe. but here are the pics.
July 4 —–
outbound agents and QAs. libot2 lang sa floor and chika2 coz we didnt take calls for the entire shift.
our manager and his assistant. trying to answer our questions. but we were not satisfied. so we gave him our rebuttals. kalimot cguro siya that we were trained for that. outbound sales gud. hahaha!
mgt walked out from us. so they sent us home. paid holiday. so this is our dubai bus company driver, mahmood. hehehe!
July 5 —- mgt refused to talk to us AGAIN. so we called the human rights officers, the police, the media, and of course, the phil. embassy.
these are the human rights officers
asking questions about the situation…
this is our lawyer. from the phil embassy. very good guy. willing to help us no matter what. syempre, kabayan gud
(at the back, company lawyer and hr manager…)
reporter from gulf news. oi g, ngano nag apil2 man ka diha… hehehe!
dubai police (green uniform) and human rights officer (brown uniform)…
Dubai Internet City owner talking to some indian agents about what’s going on. (Skycom is a tenant of D.I.C.)
filipino agents cried and hugged each other after talking to the D.I.C. owner. hopefully, everything will be okay.
and we were on the newspapers the next day. gulf news, emirates today, seven days, etc. this is a copy of seven days
"The protest - thought to be first of its kind in Dubai by white-collared employees…." — Seven Days
we are still waiting for the results of the investigation. cross-fingers…
